Come Paint on Poyntz! Artists are encouraged to set up their easels on Poyntz Avenue between the mall and Juliette Street in Downtown Manhattan to capture the spirit of the neighborhood.

Schedule: July 18, 2024
3:30 - 4:00 pm: Artist Check-in. Downtown Manhattan, 409 Poyntz Ave
4:00 - 7:00 pm: Paint Time
7:15 pm: Judging. Please have your completed works to the Courthouse Plaza by 7:15 pm. (Must have 10 participants to award prize.)

1. Painting must be done entirely on location during the event.
2. All traditional mediums are accepted.
3. Artists may paint anywhere between 3rd Street and Juliette Street on Poyntz Avenue.
4. Artists must submit work for judging and a chance to win the $500 purchase award. The award is sponsored by Downtown Manhattan.
5. Winning artwork becomes the property of Downtown Manhattan. The top ten art works will be displayed in a Downtown Manhattan art space through August and September. All other paintings will return to the artists.
